Our clients win LSTF bids
The Department for Transport has announced the projects which have won funding in the first round of the Local Sustainable Transport Fund – amounting to £155 million of investment through 39 projects in 37 local authorities.
Our particular congratulations go to the officers and stakeholders that The Smarter Choice Consultancy and Transport for Quality of Life worked with on the successful bids for West of England Partnership (£5m funding), Lake District National Park Authority with Cumbria County Council (£4.9m) and Warwickshire County Council (£4.9m).
Despite DfT previously indicating that it would not be possible for authorities to resubmit failed bids in Tranche 2, of the 34 unsuccessful bids 13 were considered to have potential but require further work. So the local authorities in question are being asked to improve their bids and resubmit them as part of Tranche 2 in February 2012.
See the official press release and list of successful bids.
If your authority has been asked to resubmit its Tranche 1 bid, prepare a business case for a Large Project Bid or is developing a Tranche 2 bid and needs support from a team with a proven track record of facilitating successful bids then contact The Smarter Choice Consultancy on 01778 305088.
