And even more LSTF success!

Our congratulations to the West of England Partnership, East Sussex and the New Forest & South Downs National Parks consortium – all of whom have been successful in winning money in the final allocation of the Local Sustainable Transport Fund.

The Department for Transport has now confirmed the Large Projects getting funding, as well as the outstanding Tranche 2 applications.

Working with our sister consultancy Transport for Quality of Life, The Smarter Choice Consultancy has supported development of bids which have netted almost £29.5 million of this funding:

  • Bristol City Council (West of England Partnership) – West of England Sustainable Transport (£24m)
  • East Sussex County Council – Travel Choices for Lewis (£1.57m)
  • Hampshire County Council and partners – Sustainable Transport Solutions for England’s Two Newest National Parks (£3.8m)

This brings to ten the final tally of projects our collective expertise has helped win funding; assisting in leveraging over £64 million from the Fund for investment in new and innovative sustainable transport projects.
